Doppo is a path-breaking agency that brings together creative industry professionals with publishers, production companies and manufacturers of licensed products. The company started up in 2014 when Lippo Luukkonen, a lawyer with a long legal and commercial career in book publishing, started to work together with Tuomas Kyrö, the bestselling Finnish author and creator of the brand Mielensäpahoittaja (“The Grump”).

Since then, Doppo has grown rapidly, and now offers comprehensive services to several best-selling and much loved Finnish authors (e.g. Timo Parvela, Sinikka and Tiina Nopola, Juha Vuorinen, Mikko-Pekka Heikkinen). The focus of Doppo’s initial growth has been domestic, as the potential to re-define the relationships and cooperation between creative minds and businesses is significant in this market. However, many of Doppo’s team mates are looking abroad, either to bring their content to new audiences or to find interesting licensing opportunities. We welcome queries from foreign publishers, production companies and licensing manufacturers who are interested in cooperating with the Finnish creative industry.
